Cafe Lupe at the Park with the RoadTrippers

I was a bit apprehended to go back to Luneta Park mostly if this will be remembered as a scene hijacking a tourist bus and my family visited it for a kite fly where my son’s bag was snatch with full of valuables like wallet and cellphone.

Still, Luneta will always be my favorite nostalgic tourist spot here in Manila where I will dearly remembered during my childhood days which extended thru college life as we practiced competitions like cheering and “Sabayang Bigkasan” which is just near PLM.

Who would not forget that this was also my heart felt place where I said “YES”  to my ex-boyfriend now my hubby when he was just proposing to be my date during Valentine’s day?  LOL! What a blast of returning back those memories!

It was a breath of fresh air when city government together with National Parks started to revive the beauty of Luneta last two years ago innovating everything – from the Flower Clock, boardwalk of Philippine Map and lagoon fountain.

Yes, it was time to look back again when we gladly accepted an invitation with Cafe Lupe to check its location near the large lagoon.  Even I was in college then, the fountain was neglected letting me to think that this was a flowing canal already.

During our visit,  the large fountain lagoon was transformed now into beautiful yet colorful laser light show dancing in a synchronized direction.  The best thing about this, anyone can watch it for FREE.

It was a facet of water drizzling all over swaying back and forth bracing together with those laser lights.  It is a glimpse of squirting those corners an array of multi-colored spectrum as the water dances for more than 2 hours of show.

Those myriads of  fountain water can go up more than 50 feet that splashes lively smashing gently giving those hues of  total entertainment to the people who would view it. Groups of family or friends can set a picnic infront or just near those fountain to watch them.

Great location for Cafe Lupe which is inside a man made cave yet in the middle and infront of those dancing fountain that offered drinks and food to munch.

Cafe Lupe extended their branch here in Luneta Park which is a known resto in Antipolo City near Sumulong Highway that offered Mexican and Ilonggo dishes – a cuisine with a twist taste of Pinoy. Since the place is newly open, food offered are also limited.

One can enjoy their marinated barbeque which got those succulent and distinctive flavor for only P 20.00. We got to try also their Nachos Muchos which is priced for P 60.00 and their barbecued chicharon bulaklak.

Most of the drinks offered are tied up with Asia Brewery.

The area is huge which is a recommended place for gathering of fun and excitement.

I missed some of their food here like the quesadilla, baby back ribs or tacos which I had whenever we dine out with their branch in Antipolo.   Personally, I am not a beer or a wine drinker.  Hopefully, in the future, they can offer a cola or even a bottled water that would vary to a crowd when a group of family would like to dine in here watching those fountain of lights.

Since the members of TRT aka The Road Trippers were almost complete then, we decided to celebrate our Christmas gathering with a simple gift giving, a Videoke  and games called “Pinoy Henyo”  Sossy, since they use those IPad to guess “those stuffs” related to Christmas.

Photoshoot would always be an added activities to us TRT as we are soo itchy to capture those magnificent view especially those array of lights hitting the bash of sprinkled fountains.  There were also fireballs that suddenly lighted up the middle.  Great we seen them all at the 2nd floor of Cafe Lupe.

Yes, it was a simple acquaintances, not sooo fancy enough in terms of food to eat and gifts to share.  Most importantly it is the spirit of camaraderie and the missing feeling of togetherness getting those trips via road which tight us those bonds to explore and nurture those worthwhile experiences.

Definitely, there would be more roads to conquer these coming years to come.

Merry Christmas everyone and a Prosperous New Year.

Do visit Rizal Park and do not forget to drop by at Cafe Lupe.  They would be planning to put up a band to  live up the entertainment more.

Here signing off for this New Year, Jinkee Umali of http://livelifefullest.com/
